Host, David Barsamian

Alternative Radio , established in 1986, is an internationally syndicated, one-hour, weekly radio public affairs program, airing on over 175 radio stations  in the U.S., Canada, Europe and beyond. AR provides information, and in-depth analyses and views not covered in mainstream media, featuring interviews with humanitarian and progressive thinkers.

 

 

Hosted by journalist David Barsamian on community radio station KGNU-FM, in Boulder, Colorado.

Notable guests: Tariq Ali, Jello Biafra, Andrew Bacevich, Lester Brown, Robert Fisk, George Galloway, Amy Goodman, Seymour Hersh, Bill Moyers, Arundhati Roy, Joseph Stiglitz, Howard Zinn.  Perhaps the best known of Alternative Radio interviews have been with dissident intellectual Noam Chomsky.
